Mastering the Art of Multi-Tasking (so you can get your zen on later)

Just a quick post to share a funny moment. Yesterday my roommate came out into our livingroom at 7am and this picture is the vision that she beheld. She thought it was hysterical that I was still in my bathrobe and drinking tea while pedaling away. The laptop on my aerobars (only for an easy base ride) is a common occurence, so she is used to seeing that. I was very focused on getting some website work done with Molly from mollybean.com during my 90-minute ride, and at one point also was on the phone catching up with my sister.

I do have lots of quiet time in my life. However, I prefer to be crazy-busy when I can work on several things with a portion of my attention, so that later I can focus all of my attention on more inportant projects or maybe just relaxing.

So... my lovely readers, how do you find ways to balance work and relaxation time?

nice photo, with the sepia tone finish.

i am not much for multitasking. its been my experience this is gender based. us guys have trouble doing only one thing with focus. maybe i need to practice?

Of course men can multitask. Didn't you just comment on my blog while at work, presumably working?

I have also put laptop on bike for easy trainer ride. I don't do housework, which saves a lot of time. Just kidding, although my husband might disagree!

I twitter and answer e-mails using my Blackberry while on conference calls while on the Stairmaster. It forces me to maintain balance and to focus concentration in multiple places under the threat of bodily harm and intellectual humiliation.

Triitagain- Good tip! Stop doing housework to save time. Ha! Or you can do housework while you listen to a podcast. One of my favorite ways to multitask.

Coach Adam- Stairmaster?! Like the one where the stairs revolve and you really have to step high? You crazy triathlete...

Sweet Pic.

I'll catch up on old movies from netflix while peddling on the trainer.
